Gonzoe Net Worth & Career Life
Kausion’s debut song, “What You Wanna Do?” with Ice Cube, was released on Jun 20, 1995, and their debut album, South Central Los Skanless, was released on Oct 10. They later departed Lench Mob Records because of a feud with Ice Cube, claiming they had been cheated out of royalties.
He went solo and signed with Death Row Records, the most popular rap record company at the time and home to rappers like DJ Quik, Dr Dre, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, and Tha Dogg Pound.
Tupac Shakur, who died in 1996, also signed with Death Row Records in October 1995. He and Tupac would meet through their manager, Sharita Knight, shortly after. They became friends, went on tour, and collaborated on three songs, including “Die” and “This Life I Lead.”
Tupac gave Gonzoe the moniker Young Ritzy Outlaw. Tupac was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sept 07, after seeing Bruce Seldon and Mike Tyson fight in a boxing match. He was brought to University Medical Center and died a week later at 25.
The Death Row empire began to crumble after Tupac’s death and the imprisonment of the record label’s C.E.O., Suge Knight. Gonzoe, like several other musicians on the label, left.
Late “Phats Bossi” Bankoudagda, Jerold “Yukmouth” Ellis, Keith “Madd Maxx” Walker, and Kenneth “Poppa L.Q.” Walker joined him in forming The Regime in 1997.
On Jul 28, 1998, he got a solo record deal with Menes Music Group, and his solo debut L.P., If I Live And Nothing Happens, was published. “Got It Made” was the first single from the album. He was announced as the newest member of the Outlawz, a group founded by Tupac before his death, in the album’s opener.
Gonzoe later left the Outlawz and The Règime after falling out with both groups for “fucking each other’s bitches,” as Gonzoe explained in a Dec 03, 2003, interview with HitEmUp.com. Their differences were eventually resolved, and Gonzoe rejoined The Regime.
HE wrote 18 new songs for his second solo album. Still, Menes Music Group declined to release it due to financial difficulties. He quit the label and joined Champeli Entertainment, where he recorded Chasin’ The Sun 2000, his third solo album. He left the title since neither of these albums was released.
He has a promising future ahead of him. He is the proud father of Khaelen, his daughter. Fo’ Sho Recordz, which Image Entertainment exclusively distributes, is set to release his new album, No Ice, later this year. “I’m On Tilt” is the first single.
Cel and Kaydo from Kausion, Jayo Felony, Knoc-turn’al, and Yukmouth make guest appearances on No Ice, which is produced by Jelly Roll and Kenny McCloud.
He has also recently been in the studio with Death Row Records’ Crooked I and Eastwood. Hehas written a song criticizing multi-platinum rapper 50 Cent, whom he believes is a phony thug.
Yukmouth’s Smoke-A-Lot Records will release The Regime’s debut album, Regime Life, following the release of No Ice. He also intends to release Grown Folks Music on StreetHop.com exclusively. Every other month, he’ll release a new mixtape that can only be purchased on StreetHop.com.
