Stanley was a reserve player for two games as a freshman in 2012. In 2013, as a sophomore, he started all 13 games as a correct tackle for an offense that ranked second in the FBS and allowed just eight sacks. Later that year, as a junior, he replaced Zack Martin as a left tackle.
